Last April, I graduated from the Interactive Multimedia & Design program at Carleton University where I learned many different aspects to design including web, graphics, photography, programming and advertising. I've been working at Trillium Floral Designs in Kanata for 10 years doing everything that needs to be done from arranging flowers, to maintaining the website and blog, meeting with brides & bookkeeping. I love animals more than anything, am obsessed with wedding planning (gettin' hitched next year!) and love to decorate.
Photography has always interested me and for the longest time I've tried to be creative with my Olympus D-575
Zoom but it just doesn't do it. I recently decided to splurge (it doesn't happen that often...actually never) on a fancier camera
where I can be way more flexible and creative with my photography. With new photo enhancing software (aka Photoshop), I strongly
believe that for a photographer it's not only important to know your camera, but to know the software as well. My
favorite part about photography along with meeting new people, is the post-editing because I've worked with Photoshop for so long
and enjoy trying new techniques. Since I'm fairly new to photography, I don't quite have a style yet but I tend to prefer 'darker'
images and more creative, illustrative shots. As you can tell, the name 'Black Magic' has a darker tone to it but it's actually
the variety name of my favorite rose!
